About Mary Williams Benefield

Mary was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia. Her parents moved from LaGrange to Decatur in the late 1960’s to give their four children better opportunities in Dekalb County. She graduated from Shamrock High School and continued her education at Georgia State University.

As the mother of three amazing adult children, she chose to be a stay-at-home Mom for the primary years of their lives. She then worked in the small church-school they attended as the Music Teacher. “The Crew” as Mary calls them, has sailed some rough waters, due to the unexpected cancer death of their dad.

Mary learned how to juggle three different educational environments simultaneously; home school, private, and public all while working, being involved with extracurricular sports and spending time with family and friends. She is happy to report to the world that we all made it across the finish line successfully.

Today, Mary is married and works in the Accounting Services field. She works in a small business to help other small businesses with Bookkeeping & Business Taxes (i.e., Payroll & Sales Tax).

Conservative ideology has been the roadmap with which she has guided her family. She decided to get involved in politics after watching the country that she loves, turn in a direction that has placed us on a failing trajectory. She is a proud Georgia First conservative.
